{"id":925,"date":"2013-01-22T21:37:04","date_gmt":"2013-01-23T04:37:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bigdamnheroes.org\/?p=925"},"modified":"2013-01-22T22:45:26","modified_gmt":"2013-01-23T05:45:26","slug":"2x-xp-weekend-feedback","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.bigdamnheroes.org\/?p=925","title":{"rendered":"2x XP Weekend Feedback"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MechWarrior Online&#8217;s 1st Double XP Weekend ended yesterday morning&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>It was FUN! \u00c2\u00a0And it warrants feedback, however, the MWO forums truly are a &#8216;wretched hive of scum and villainy&#8217;, and any positive feedback gets buried under more negative comments&#8230; so, I&#8217;m going to put my feedback here, in the hopes that either PGI or IGP&#8217;s Community Team sees it and relays it back to the appropriate folks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Good:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tons of fun!<\/li>\n<li>Queues popping quickly.<\/li>\n<li>Lots of folks trying out new &#8216;Mechs, or finishing out the pilot trees for existing ones they don&#8217;t use anymore.<\/li>\n<li>Got me (and presumably others) to spend MC, which means some folks probably bought some.<\/li>\n<li>People bought premium time for the weekend.<\/li>\n<li>Did I mention, tons of fun, because it made things a bit less grindy?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Bad:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Confusion in announcement email, indicating Hero &#8216;Mechs got additional bonus XP.<\/li>\n<li>Short notice. \u00c2\u00a0Official Notice came out on Thursday, for an event that started Friday Morning. \u00c2\u00a0Notice on Monday\/Tuesday would have been better.<\/li>\n<li>Missed Opportunity: \u00c2\u00a0Monday was a Federal Holiday (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) in the US..
