Not content with just hosting an AMA yesterday, the MechWarrior Tactics Dev team posted another “Devs ask you” thread<\/a> yesterday morning. \u00c2\u00a0This week’s question is:<\/p>\n

Of all the mechs (apart from Unseen), are you most excited to see in MechWarrior Tactics?<\/p>\n

Removing the Unseen (see the AMA for more information about the Unseen and MWT) takes away a lot of the ‘Mechs that I like from the 3025 era..both for cosmetic reasons, and because they were fairly well balanced ‘Mechs in their weight classes.<\/p>\n

Non era specific, I’d love to see the Black Knight:<\/p>\n

The Black Knight is very well armed for its weight class, though it does come in a little under armored to accomplish that..The all energy weapon loadout, means the BK can stay on the field longer, since ammo (and ammo explosions) aren’t a concern.<\/p>\n

Era appropriate, I’d like to see the Orion get added in.<\/p>\n

The Orion packs 3 more tons of armor then the Black Knight, while still packing a pretty hefty weapon payload. \u00c2\u00a0The Orion’s stock variant, is heavily ammo dependent though, with only the two medium lasers not requiring ammo. \u00c2\u00a0The Orion does pack two tons of ammo for every weapon though, which does give it some staying power, assuming the pilot is paying attention to how\/when he’s firing.<\/p>\n
