The MechWarrior Tactics team gave us a surprise today (probably as they all finished packing to head to PAX).. \u00c2\u00a0A Dev Diary!<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p>Important things to note in this video:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chris C is wearing an MWT shirt.. if someone sees him wearing this shirt at PAX, you must find out how I can get one!<\/li>\n<li>At around 0:49 we get our first glimpse of ‘Mech customization via skins..those ‘Mechs, don’t have the same color scheme as the ‘Mechs in other gameplay videos.<\/li>\n<li>The art ‘progression’ board that starts at 1:22 follows the Hunchback through part of the modeling\/coloring process.. and reveals a bit of that process.. followed by the always cool looking final product at 1:29<\/li>\n<li>I like the rationale Chris gives for why we’re starting at 3025 in MWT..and fully agree.. that’s always been my favorite era, so it’s nice to have a game set in that time frame.<\/li>\n<li>At 2:14, while James is talking about excitement.. we see that the ‘Mechs have actual names showing above their model number.. this is excitement! \u00c2\u00a0it’s a unconfirmed level of customization, and, most importantly, a good reflection of the Lore in the BT universe. \u00c2\u00a0Most ‘Mechs had been named by their pilots. \u00c2\u00a0Kai Allard Liao had “Yen-Lo-Wang”, Victor Steiner-Davion had “Prometheus”. \u00c2\u00a0This will let MWT players have that level of detail for their own units.<\/li>\n<li>2:34 starts another look at ‘Mech customization\/skins that we haven’t seen before.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All in all, a very nice video..
