I&#8217;m the Senior Community Manager for Star Wars: The Old Republic, based at BioWare in Austin. I manage the entire Community team, working on everything from Forums to social media, fansites to guild outreach, events to website content.<\/p>\n<p>A few caveats:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I&#8217;m not in charge of any design decisions on the game &#8211; if you are looking to get something changed, ask nicely on the official Forums :)<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;m not aware of every single bug in the game, or the status of their resolution &#8211; although I am happy to hear about them<\/li>\n<li>I am British and likely to use dry humor (but note: I spell things American now)<\/li>\n<li>I am going into a meeting titled &#8221; &#8220;THE AWESOME ATTACK OF RAINBOWS AND NARWHALS AND BACON THAT WE&#8217;RE GOING TO HIT THE BLOG WITH&#8221; right now, so I&#8217;ll be 30 minutes or more late before I start answering stuff&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That said&#8230; go for it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6:33PM CST:<\/strong> That&#8217;s it for me folks, I&#8217;m out. Tried to answer as many things as I can. If I didn&#8217;t answer a question likelihood is because it was too specific to current developer thinking or future potential thinking &#8211; apologies for that.<\/p>\n<p>I may ninja in the odd reply going forward, and if you enjoyed this (despite me&#8230;) then let us know and perhaps we&#8217;ll do similar with other development team members. :)<\/p>\n<p><strong>10:23PM CST:<\/strong> Alright I&#8217;m <em>really<\/em> done this time. We will do this again in some form, possibly with other BioWare folk, I promise! :)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This one talks about the character creation options coming &#8216;soon&#8217; for those with Legacy unlocked:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Q: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/swtor\/comments\/nty9d\/im_stephen_reid_senior_community_manager_for_star\/c3bx1bo\">Will it be possible to give us more information on exactly what we can get out of the legacy system?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Without revealing more details I do want to point out one thing: don&#8217;t assume that there&#8217;s another, &#8216;secret&#8217; character creation system that we&#8217;re going to allow for those who have unlocked their Legacy.<\/p>\n<p>The Legacy System will allow you to have more options at character creation, but it&#8217;s not like &#8220;Oh, you unlocked your Legacy? You now have 50 more beard types available to you!&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>About units sold:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Q: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/swtor\/comments\/nty9d\/im_stephen_reid_senior_community_manager_for_star\/c3bwm3y\">How many units have been sold??<\/a><\/p>\n<p>More than I could fit in my house.
