We get our monthly rotation of trial &#8216;Mechs, a new Champion &#8216;Mech, a new Hero &#8216;Mech, 12 v 12 matches, and a couple of minor bug fixes.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, the &#8216;big thing&#8217; for this patch, is the 12 v 12. \u00c2\u00a0The Kintaro makes it&#8217;s appearance as our Hero &#8216;Mech (Golden Boy).. so it&#8217;s nice to see another newer chassis make an appearance. \u00c2\u00a0Here&#8217;s the video for the Golden Boy.. and I like the nice &#8216;flavor&#8217; of having the Japanese text as well.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xcgelolDFeU\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nA nice little bonus being added this patch, is that your first victory of the day &#8211; for each chassis &#8211; will get you double XP! \u00c2\u00a0There will be an indicator in the &#8216;Mech lab that tells you which chassis are still eligible for the bonus.<\/p>\n<p>And here&#8217;s the patch <a href=\"http:\/\/mwomercs.com\/game\/patch-notes\" target=\"_blank\">notes<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>PATCH NOTES AUGUST 6TH, 2013<br \/>\nOpen Beta Update #23<\/p>\n<p>Upcoming Patch &#8211; Tuesday August 6th @ 10AM \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 1PM PDT<\/p>\n<p>Patch Number: 1.2.235<\/p>\n<p>Change Log<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE<\/p>\n<p>Greetings MechWarrior!<\/p>\n<p>I just wrote you folks a week ago but I can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get enough of you! Numbers between 4-12 will be addressed when we get tonnage limits into the game.<br \/>\n&#8211; CB rewards have been adjusted to compensate for the additional 4 players on the battlefield.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Assault mode base captures now take longer.<br \/>\n&#8211; Conquest point captures now take longer.<br \/>\n&#8211; Players should be aware that capping in Conquest mode takes longer now, and that it is often wise to pre-plan your routes to account for that.<\/p>\n<p>Performance<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Created low and medium spec optimized versions of weapon effects.<br \/>\n&#8211; Removed ground level vegetation and debris in Forest Colony and Forest Colony Snow for low spec.<\/p>\n<p>Bug Fixes<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Added missing LOD&#8217;s to Quickdraw Battlemech.<br \/>\n&#8211; Added missing LOD&#8217;s to Highlander Battlemech.<\/p>\n<p>General<\/p>\n<p>First Victory of the Day<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The first time of each day you win a match for each &#8216;Mech variant (owned or trial), you will earn double the XP rewards at the end of the match<br \/>\n&#8211; If one of your Mechs is eligible for the first victory bonus, it will be marked with an &#8220;XP x2&#8221; icon in its Mech Bay<br \/>\n&#8211; Once you earn a first victory bonus with a &#8216;Mech, you can&#8217;t earn the bonus again for that &#8216;Mech until the eligibility resets at 12:00 AM UTC<\/p>\n<p>We thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you on the battlefield!<\/p>\n<p>The MechWarrior\u00c2\u00ae Online\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 Team<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday was the first MechWarrior Online patch for August..
